Therefore, the belt and its accessories should be inspected and replaced within the specified time to prevent the belt from breaking and causing damage to the vehicle transmission components. The transmission work is more precise.
Causes of damage to the belt
Use high gear when riding on steep slopes, in snow, or in deep mud, exceeds the belt’s endurance.If the belt is skewed and worn, the two clutches may be misaligned. The belt will be damaged prematurely.Use the wrong belt.When the wheel is stuck in a rock crack or in a quagmire, it slams on the accelerator and tries to disengage it. At this time, the driving clutch rotates, but the belt does not rotate.The water, oil, dirt, or dirt in the CVT gearbox will damage the belt performance.Modified large and heavy tires that will increased belt load Inappropriate break-in and cool-down.
Drive belt installation method
Turn off the power, remove the protective cover, screw the assembling bolt of the motor, move the motor to loose the belt,remove the old belt. (NOTE: Don??t pry on the belt. If the belt has excessive wear and tear, that means a problem with the design and maintenance of the transmission.)Choose the suitable belt. Clean the belt and pulley. Wipe the rag with a little non-volatile liquid. The belt must be kept clean before installation and use. (NOTE: Don??t soak in detergent or scrub with detergent. Dont??t use sandpaper or sharp objects to scrape oil or dirt.)Check whether the pulley is linearly symmetrical and other transmission component.During break-in period, the following activities could be done: Vary vehicle speed and engine RPM to shift belt through normal operational range Do not exceed ? throttle within the first 30 miles of installation Stop engine and allow belt to cool down every 15 minutes of use.
