1. Park the ATV on a level surface and remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug. Push the ATV belt to the side so that it does not get caught in the drivetrain components.

2. Remove the drive belt cover located on the underside of the ATV. Turn the tension adjuster wheel clockwise to loosen the belt’s tension.

3. Unhook the spring that holds the drive belt in place. Pull the old drive belt off of the drive pulley and the driven pulley.

4. Slide the new drive belt onto the drive pulley and the driven pulley. Hook the spring back into place.

5. Turn the tension adjuster wheel counterclockwise until the belt is tight. Replace the drive belt cover and the spark plug cap.

6. Start the ATV and listen for any abnormal noises. If you hear any noises, shut off the ATV and check the tension on the belt again. Adjust the belt accordingly and restart the ATV.
